Removing dents from 2 stroke pipes

Recommended Posts

Anyone on here remove there own dents from there 2 stroke pipe. I was thinking about getting the kit from ebay and giving it a crack. Slightly worried about trying it myself as it looks kinda dangerous. Any advice much appreciated and safety tips.

So just compressed air in the pipe and heating ? I know you can fix them using compressed water but the kit is sold out.

Compressed air too dangerous - if it lets go risking injury or worse.  The water kit is very effective and safe.  If it leaks at either seal, water just trickles out so no harm.  Then easy to adjust to get it sealed again for another go.  The KTM kit also fits Beta pipes.  Almost identical end diameters.  These are before and after pics,  Beta 300 (Arrow) and Beta X trainer.

I am sure it would be fine as long as I didn't go crazy with the air pressure.

Does the compressed water one require the dents to be heated?

I made my own system / plugs up and used compressed air and small O2 / MAP Gas torch.

No heat required for the water pressure Kit but dam expensive $400
