Girls Big River Post Lockdown Camp and Ride Weekender

Recommended Posts

7 of us excited girls headed out to Big River for some camping and riding! There was some chainsaw action and hard hills that would impress the boys! Oh and of course lots of bevies! Just would've been good to have more girls there, however covid laws stopped that! Anyway, was great to finally catch up with the girls!! Can't wait to do it again soon!! 6cd85506d33ae97e79083264d31cc283.jpg2e0ef8f3c8cc6e21f83e523674d4f827.jpg94dec6653b0d5ab100b2bc1b77767ef1.jpg862569aad05a6518b3a045dfad0cf286.jpgca923622319c7a18c137fe4d03878df5.jpg

A good weekend with plenty of laughs and camp fire fun.

There was a fun hill near camp which some of us conquered on Saturday, following a bit of carnage up there on our earlier ride on Friday night.

The three of us met up after the steeper section, excited to see where it went only to find a dead end!

Saturday afternoon I had my bike on it's stand at the top of a steep incline as I was down the hill giving a few pointers on how to tackle a down hill. Suddenly I hear a vehicle and look up to a dark young guy handling my bike! I ran up the hill yelling "Hey that's my bike" and asked him and his girlfriend to give us 5 so we could get down the hill.

I had a strange vibe and didn't feel comfortable leaving my bike up there.. so I hopped on and rolled down to where we were, laid the thing over in the bush as it was rather steep, then helped re position the rider for her decline. Next second the 4wd is coming down the hill and right up our backside. He didn't listen to me at all. There goes the low pressure environment I was trying to create!

We let him past and I was so angry.

I couldn't understand why he wouldn't have just checked we were OK instead of trying to push my bike out of the way and then just come on down! It was strange.

It was great to see the 3 ladies learning their new 150's after buying only just before the big lockdown!

It seems like nice country out there and I look forward to the Black Dog ride in 2021.3843455f57d069d6e3b41b729def1655.jpgdcc7d6a1317f40e1690060d225ce83b5.jpgad5588a4c4d70aa56a28f299bba94712.jpg

It was such a great weekend. The girls welcomed me and my annoying-ness with open arms.... you’re all going to regret that!!!

You are all absolutely amazing riders and I cannot wait to ride again real soon. I’ve found a buyer for my bike.... my brother.... so when ever I can jump on those 150’s to check them out, won’t be long after that I’ll have something more suited.
