Buxton / Dindi 8th September

Recommended Posts

Fantastic day out, perfect conditions for the area, thanks to Pops for organising, and thanks to everyone who turned up.

The group moved really well, even when we hit Log Alley, only a few hang up’s, thanks for everyone who lended a hand.

Dann especially gave it a hell of a touch, he had that Blue Beast on song today. Top work

Had a blast of a ride today. Started with 9 of us hitting the red clay like we knew what we were doing. Going on a short 30k loop before the lead rider was due to turn up a bit later.

Haven"t been to Buxton in what seems like forever. Second guessed myself while trying to do a loop that didn't coincide with the loop that was in store for us. Coming back along the Sec trk did a turn around up a rocky trk. Was a fun climb that sprained an ankle on one of the riders. Back at the cars said goodbye to Mess and Chippy.

six of us headed off to experience all that Murdoch had to offer. Yep the ride took a leap into level 3 territory. The off camber logs on the new sections were relentless.  I would like to say I showed them who was boss, but the shiney moments were fought  for today.

80ks done for the day. finishing back at the cars after riding the last half hour in the rain about 3pm.

The burger and beer went down a treat as we watched the rain getting heavier through the glass of the Buxton Roadhouse.

Loved the trks, Loved the positive attitudes.

Thanks to the sweeps. Dann and Rob.

Thanks Murdoch for all your hard work. Glad we could run them in for you.

Till we ride again

Had an absolute blast today out at Buxton/Dindi with nice and wet conditions making everything that little bit more interesting.

The first 30k leg of the ride had a few challenging bits with one rocky climb that comes to mind. As I was sweeping at the time I waited at the bottom for a clear run but when I saw Chippa go down I flew up to give assistance. Seeing as how he hurt his ankle he and Mess went back down and took an easier way back up. I decided to take off from there and continue, it was a tad difficult to say the least...

Once Murdoch took over the level jumped up a bit and the tracks were on the wetter side of primo from all the morning rain. Leaving a bit of room on the hills was key at this point with some of us finding out the hard way. There was a few times when everyone had steam pouring out of their helmets especially in log alley haha!

Great crew today and the burgers went down a treat after all that hard work. Looking forward to seeing you all out on the trail again soon.

Thanks cruiser / Murdoch for a great day with lots of challenges along the coarse of the day and Dann and Rob for sweeping throughout the day.

I am glad we fast tracked it home when the rain started to pour, but the red clay on the way back on the steep down hills with rivers flowing down them was scary at times.

Highlight of my day was when I ordered a burger with the lot and sat down and received it within 5 mins the biggest buxton burger by mistake, the burger was meant for the people on the next table. B)

anyway was a great day with a great bunch of bloke until next time cheers.

and thanks for murdoch for supplying the beers at the roadhouse they went down well :beerchug:

Not sure which would be quicker, that hacksaw, or your rear tyre
