GPS units and recommendations

Recommended Posts

Hey guys, looking to buy a gps unit for my bike, mainly tracks and set loops etc. Ideally would like one with a medium size face, any recommendations, new or used? Budget around $300-$400?

Garmin Montana is what you need but more than your budget. The 610 would be the go.

Has been around since 2011 and gets updated every 2 years or so but hasn't really changed spec wise, And for good reason coz it works.

Spares can be found cheap on line if you smash it.

Allow for the garmin rugged mount in your budget as well.

Garmin 64s. In your budget and a lot of riders out there have one.

A lot of online info on how to set it up etc. Battery life is very good.

Recommended by a rider on here that has been using it for years and has never got us lost.

Appreciate the info. These are great units and features. I like the larger screen, at this stage prob more than I wanted to spend. I’ve found a Garmin Oregon second hand in great condition which is similar, not as good and a little smaller. I think it’ll do the job.
