Finally got my new to me 250 exc rwc'd and registration changed to my name so I thought I'd better celebrate by going riding. PeteV and I hit up Elaine and we rode what Pete has been working hard on for a while and it is really awesome. Very technical, lots of up and down gullies with tight turns and about a thousand logs with a few rock gardens thrown in for good measure. It's funny riding in the creek beds that we are hesitant to cross in winter. If you want to know more, you'll have to be nice to Pete!
I'm pretty stuffed already had a kip on the couch and we only did 24.8 km on my speedo so not too many words from me! Starting to adjust to the 2 stroke life but I did swear out loud a few times having to kick the thing, needs a fresh battery. Cheers for the tips and the great riding today PeteDSC_1923.JPG.e6f6f2bf0a605eeab17b297624737f7c.JPGDSC_1924.JPG.2b24e8262f3dd6dbc5f9dfb88902b6fb.JPGDSC_1925.JPG.1bfd5e1c9e62dc4697d777d085c9b668.JPGDSC_1926.JPG.b2259b79e0fe8cd305f92c0e4ea6c044.JPGDSC_1929.JPG.3096fe1722543e3b1b9bf3e0649b4db4.JPGDSC_1930.JPG.06e9e151987ea20bd5b9d7fb3d00411b.JPGDSC_1932.JPG.bd583ebe240c07764017ad2521070e85.JPGDSC_1935.JPG.bf88a0a1d93e62193dacc48bb0c195a7.JPGDSC_1936.JPG.d5e0e49af9a500a9b0831ddc45c2b04b.JPGDSC_1938.JPG.474d20c7776c395b2cdd385b01eecd14.JPG

Good stuff , "mr smoker".
I've only ridden there with Cory on his drz.
Was the lack of km's due to terrain, ride fitness or both?

Both terrain and fitness but it was a lot of gnarly bits requiring stop start so I wasn't keen on kicking too much. The heat didn't help but it was mostly terrain related

Kicking a 2 stroke is a piece of piss. Sherco and betas have no kicker so your lucky.
It's becoming an another lost art.

In today’s weather with a hot donk his bike liked a bit of throttle with the button and with a kick . Coming off a injected 4 stroke this was very alien for Dan!

I forgot to mention as I was pretty snoozy,  I think I stacked more yesterday than I have for quite a while. The above photo of my barkbuster was to show that the barkbusters were brand new before the ride!

Also got a bite or some sort of spiky plant done something funky and annoying to my back
