No good at all - heal quick fellas.

PS: we might have to rig up a DirtriderZ infirmary couch - so they can still enjoy a roostin' while on the mend!

It's hard not riding. Worst still when you come back early and re break it. October is looking good for a return. I've decided foot injuries suck. I was out for less time when I tore out the ACL

I think Toysrus is still out injured too. I hope it's a big bench.

Son of Cujo believes this last spate of incidents might be part of the Husaberg Curse....... he might be on to something here!

Sporto, you are so lucky you changed bikes when you did!

I'm on the bench still for another 1.5 weeks, been off my bikes since earlier this year due to damaging my knee at work and requiring an arthroscope last month, needless to say I can not wait to get out for a ride again.

I dropped my bike on my hand on Sunday :paura-01:  X-ray shows a fracture in the trapezium bone (at the base of the thumb).  I'll be off the bike now too :sospiro-01:   Anyone know a good therapist?? LOL

At least hitch hiking will be easier

I have two screws in mine after a fall a couple years ago, rode my road bike along the great ocean road before I knew it was broken. Was not able to ride for a couple months, I had mine repaired at ballarat base hospital.

LOL - using my thumbs in treatment is working too hard mate! ...I'll have to delegate!

Sounds like you had a decent fracture there LJ. Hope it's all back to normal again for you now. I'm very lucky that I only have a hairline fracture (which is very small as fractures go), so I don't need surgery and it won't take too long to get up and running again.

Amen to that!

I did my foot on August 11th 2013 and my first ride back was April 25th 2014 (258 days)....... and just to give you something to look forward to, my foot still isn't 100% today (is fine for riding but still intermittently uncomfortable to walk on...)

I'm hoping for a good hassle free wrist recovery with No ongoing issues. Once I get the all clear it'll be straight into rehab work to strengthen and work on overall fitness.i reckon it pays to stay positive

Thanks Noodle. I've had some good people check it out over the last couple of days, and I should be back to 100% over the next 4 weeks.

Yeah LJ, you had a bugger of a fracture in a tricky part of your hand.  I hope it's all good now!

Amen to that!

Guys, unless the condition hasn't been treated properly, or you have developed some form of post injury complication or degeneration in your feet, you should not have the ongoing pain.  A (good) podiatrist will be able to eliminate that persistent foot pain in a heart beat!

Out for 6-8 weeks. Fractured R/H wrist today in 2 places. Had a head on collision with a on-coming bike parked (sideways) on a blind corner.

Oh geez.... That's not good to hear. Not sure if I should ask the details of what happened. Hope you recover quickly.

Thanks Trunks.

Basically hit another rider side on (I was going up hill, he was coming down). For some reason he was parked on a sweeping turn and I just didn't have the time to swerve when I saw him.

So good news/bad news day for me.

Got the cast off today and new x-ray of the wrist:

Bone healing well, but now I can move my wrist its bloody sore....

I've been told by the specialist that I'll be off the bike for the remainder of the year!! Bloody sh#t!!!!

Looks like I'll have to do some rehab and fitness work for a few months
