Sorry Dazz, I couldn't resist. I'm sure Andy will explain all (there is a good reason).

I'm gonna guess he's reducing the diameter of the old bearing to use for knocking in the new ones??

Pulled apart the silencer for repacking! 20190318_191517.thumb.jpg.20b4e5c4a4af3041b06ecd2f3017c922.jpg20190318_192027.thumb.jpg.be3105b229ee7f2ec7f1a8271b240ded.jpgYuck!

Also started pulling apart the rear linkage for pre winter greasing. Didnt get too far as some of the bolts have been done up stupidly tight and have no access for a socket. Ive had to grind down a ring spanner to fit!

Nice work; let's you press both the inner and outer races with perfect contact evenly (you use a flat across the bearing to hammer on and support the opposite side bearing the same way) unlike the sockets that most use and only contact the outer race. I've even seen well respected tuner's video's on YouTube who have terrible methods and end up side loading the bearings inners against the outers.

Gday Dazz,in answer to your question I first used Pythagoras Theorem to work out the required circumference then set up my specialist lathe which comes with heat/spark resistant paper towel bearing holder to create a new tool to avoid another frustrating gumby moment which involved some swearing a stubby grunting bit more swearing a cigie and then call BearMX to tell him how I failed to follow one of his instruction steps.

So all banter aside it worked a treat.

Good choice, I got one for my KTM plus the matching bling tip for the brake pedal. That's on top of the oil filler cap, clutch/brake reservoir caps, levers and wheels I already have. It really works, I can feel I'm really fast now and I haven't even ridden it!

Im gonna get more bling Michael cause I still can’t keep up with you.

I reckon an anodised kickstarter should do the trick, you'll be one up on me as my KTM is estart only.

Mr Fox fixed my bike this week...
New sprag clutch bearing + new clutch plates. New front pads, bleed the clutch & brakes in the process.
New gear lever on its way.
Also minute mended the casing again - fault in design with the rear brake line rubs through the casing. 5353e7aa1ccf0c3b8813e29e97420c76.jpg95f3aaf37ef3c30a05a38dca33fee67f.jpgd27db81f1c856626b25a9e7366e8385f.jpg5bb520896f229c794777c5dfd4c86f41.jpg

I'm happy to TIG that up and dress it back if you're interested.

Cheers for the offer (if you were refering to my post!), the bikes back together now so I wont worry atm.

I'm looking at a parts bike as I'm finding parts are getting harder to find these days, so I should have a back up soon.
