This is a fairly simple setup. Bike ramp doubles as a work bench.

Dinner getting ready. Turkey legs cooked under the open fire.

Gives me a place to cook and store stuff.

The tent provides 2 rooms. One for all our clothes and changing

the other only for sleeping.

Yep!

Dig a hole.

Get your fire big enough to create lots of coals.

wrap the legs in foil with Basil/Rosemary salt and pepper.

Empty the hole leaving some coals in the bottom

Cover legs in coals. cook for 1hr.

Remove from coals rest for 10 - 15 min

Serve with roasted veges and gravy.

Eat like a king. One leg per person

Ahh a mates dad that we went with made it up. it doesnt usually have the flame out the top we played with it a bit to make it do that. Just an old rim on the bottom with the flu ontop. Has that pipe that you can see there that comes from the base then into the flu and faces down a little bit. when you light it it circulates getting hotter and hotter. was bloody good. and the rangers saw it and loved it!

Here's my camping setup (or it will be when I can afford one) I'm sick of packing an upacking all the camping gear, sick of tents, sick of the packing up in the rain and setting it up at home again.

Odd! never had this problem before! try resizing them again or putting them up in another format, if still no cigar, let me know

We had some thing similar but the base was bigger. It was years ago in Robinvale, northern vic. The old soldier settlers had them. We called them "chooffers".

Depends on who makes it and what specs, they can be in the 30 t0 40K bracket, I like the way they can be taken off at a camp with electric jacks and you can still use it sitting on the ground, still tow a trailer for bikes, they fit in ute tubs or on flat trays. Don't get me wrong, still love camping but after 30 or so years of packing and unpacking after a trip I have had it, last thing you want to do when you get home is put it all away or put up the wet tent again! Plus I may do a bit of racing again and it will be luxury to have this after a race with toilet and shower and of course a beer fridge!
