Force Baseplate/pipe Protector

Recommended Posts

You can make an early start on lighting the bbq ? If you flip it onto the bars / seat near the cars at the end of the day we could just put the snags and burgers straight on the bashplate .
That can be arranged Pete, no guarantee at end of the day though

first ride with force pipe/bash guard and after a wet otways ride this thing was absolutely full of mud adding extra kgs to the already weighty guard and even after a pressure wash it still held alot of mud and had to be removed and unlike the quick release clip on the plastic guard its added extra work to maintenance, yes it protects better if you get it wrong but what a pain and concerned how much leaf litter this thing will catch in dry months on the so called "tracks" we ride.

Yes they are a shocker for collecting mud, leaves, sticks and crap. Hard to get out also and better to remove it although the bolts are a bit of mucking around to line up to put the guard back on.
Pressure wash out what you can and leave the rest in there or remove. Leaves in summer warning and removal is noted in the instructions that come from force.
Best protection for the pipe and cylinder flange though if your hitting rock gardens, big or multiple close logs that you can't ride over and need to land ontop of and skid or manhandle over.
For easier type riding or racing you wouldn't bother as a carbon guard is perfect for this.
