Thanks Mr Noodle, I read the newbie must reads soon as I joined and had a bit of a a browse around a the site.
I think I should be safe jumping on a level two ride first up and see from that where I'm at. Cheers for the welcome.
Won't be out for a few weeks now at least unfortunately as im sporting some cut bangs and bruises plus a big ding in the rim of my bike after my ride at kinglake today where a ute came flying around a corner on extons Rd nearly collecting me. Anyway I managed to keep the bike up and get around this wide running car but as we passed a log came off the back and struck my front wheel. I guess I wasnt meant to escape the stack this time. If only I had a helmetcam. I think darn what would that have done if it had hit me instead of the bike. The Drz 400 tough as a coffin nail minimal damage considering a decent sized log hit it at speed. If started straight away and got me back to my ute after I had recovered.
a positive for the day was making it up a rock face I have put off for a couple of years so it wasn't all such a bad day.
