    Engine Number - 2005 Yamaha WR450F

Thank you so much! I spent sometime on google / looking on the bike, that's 1 spot I didn't see!
  3. Hey - I'm about to get my bike rec reg'd and they need my engine number. I've found all sorts of numbers on the engine, but I don't know which one is correct Does anyone know where the engine number is on these bikes?

    Recreation registration requirements

This might sound silly, so to fulfill this requirement there would be a switch on the handlebar that when you turn it on the light comes on without the need of the bike powering the lights? Do you know if there are any kits that could convert the lights to have this feature? Or if not can you recommend some lighting kits?
  6. Hi, I've just purchased an unregistered 2005 Yamaha WR450F that I want to book in to get Rec Reg. I really don't understand what this means: "A 'Total loss' system is one where the lights are powered in such a way that continuous power to the lights is not possible. For example, lights powered by batteries are not continuously rechargeable and can therefore run down. This is a safety measure to ensure that lighting is available to the rider when it is required." All I know is that the lights turn on when the bike powers on, do I need to do anything to fulfill this? Also, has anyone had experience with number plate lighting on these bikes? Are there any good recommend kits that I could try?

    Bike upgrade

I've decided in the next few months to upgrade my leaners bike, Honda CRF230F, I've ridden this bike for 3 years and I've outgrown it. On rides I have ridden; Yamaha WR250F, KTM 350 EXC-F, KTM 450 EXC, all of which has made my choice harder! I've been looking at the following bikes; Honda CRF250/450X, Yamaha WR250/450F, KTM 250/450 EXC. Just wondering if anyone has any pro's / con's about these bikes, or if I should add something else to the mix. Unfortunately I won't be purchasing brand new, and my budget is around 4-6k. And should I be worried if bike's I'm looking at have top-end/bottom-end rebuilds? And roughly how many km's can a bike do before a top/bottom end needs a rebuild? I don't ride MX tracks, so happy to stick with an Endro bike.

I ended up getting a Honda CRF230F, tried the WR250 and I did not feel confident at all... felt like a giant! I have been out on a few rides, so once I feel confident on my bike, Ill try the larger bike and see how I feel and might upgrade from there.

    Tool Carry Kit

Hi, I've only been riding dirt bikes since March this year, so I'm still relatively new to this and getting to know the basics. I've started a tool collection, however I want to know what other people carry so I can add to my collection. So far I have a few different size spanners, screw driver, alumin keys and for parts I have a spark plug, and a clutch lever (so far I have bent 2!!) Any help is great! Thanks!

Hi, I'm Andrew from Geelong. I have been riding since March this year, and I own Honda CRF230F. I have ridden at Elaine, Anglesea and around Pyrenees Ranges. I would consider myself a Level 2 rider. Just looking for more like-minded people to go out with on the weekends. Andrew
