Make sure you mark your calendar to keep the weekend free for a great ride.
It will be held once again at the club property at Abbeyard. It is intended to be an arrowed course and we will be seeking approval to be able to open entry to bikes with rec reg as well as full reg.
Regards
Mat R.

One of the best things about riding bikes is the sense of escapism and being able to get on and just ride..
No real idea of where you are going, how you are going to get there or why, but it doesnt really matter because your with your mates and on the bike so lets just get out there and GO..

You need to be licenced to ride, all tracks are public road.
There is an option to put in a team name. Enter DirtriderZ and I will see what I can do for you. Depending on numbers it will range from a slab of beer on Saturday night to maybe one rider winning their entry fee back.
Hope to see lots of DirtriderZ there.
Let me know if a DirtriderZ camp area is desired.

Note, to enter on-line you will need to register on the AMTRA site, which is free.
Last year we almost sold out, this year we hope to sell out. Entry just opened so lots of places available - just don't wait too long. I will get back on here if the ride is getting close to full, to give you some warning.
Juzzie - if it is really a problem to book get in touch with me by PM and will see what we can sort out.
It is a different course to last year, although of a similar level which is around a 2 or 3 depending on how wet the tracks are. I wouldn't call it a beginner's ride, but it is not a hard ride.

For Saturday there is one section which a long time rider involved with the HCR (not me) called 'The gnarliest hill ever in an HCR'. There is however an option to go around.
Looks like Paddy's Hill will be in as well, as a warm up.
All subject to DSE/PV permit of course.

Maximum range between refuels is 100kms, so you would only need to carry extra fuel as 'insurance' to get that distance. I know some bikes struggle for that distance on standard tanks. We are looking to make it less.
The re-fuel plan is to have a top up, with fuel provided by AMTRA, at no more than 100 km. Then there is a servo on the Sat ride where riders can also top up as they want to make it back, with return distance from the servo of around 50km.
2T riders need to carry their own oil to mix into the fuel. At each refuel there will be a way to know how much fuel is going in.
Last year I ran both my 07 WR450F and 09 CRF250X around the course at reasonable pace to a dry standard tank. Both got to 130km before going dry.
Added around 5L for the 2012 Saturday course. The other riders were about the same and it was a mix of 4T from small to big and a 2T bike. For the 2012 Sunday course I needed about an extra 1/2 litre to get back o.k.
