If you go on a plan with a phone included just make sure you get their insurance I am with Telstra and I have better coverage than all my mates and family I'm pretty sure of you get a Nokia e51 you will have alright coverage cause I thinks it's 3G capable whether its still available not to sure.

As much as i hate to say i do like my iphone

You said you hated them before you got it and that youd never own one.

I smash phones like they are going out of fashion. In recent times ive gone through three iphone 3gs, a htc sensation, and now i have an iphone 4. Between breakages, there was a samsung tough phone which was awesome, and a old nokia which just made calls.

My pick of the bunch is the iphone 4, the htc with android was shit, slow, bucket of poop. The 3gs were ok, but slow with the new operating system. Samsung tradie phone rocked but it just didnt do everything.

With an iphone, i can do everything on my phone and rarely fire up the laptop.

Iphone. Telstra. All your problems are gone.

Cruiser, if your tough on phones, i wouldn't go on a contract with a phone. Just get one and go to them. I keep going on contracts, i dont know why cause im lucky to get 12 months out of a phone.

Haha yes it did. The 3 was good, but the screen size of the htc rocked. After using it for a while, i think i was more saying it was good because i was trying to convince myself that i was happy with my stupid decision. Navigation on the htc was second to none though, amazing.

All phones have their perks, but i find te iphone easiest to use, and does everything i need. Now with icloud there is no need to even plug it into a computer to update. Buy songs from itunes and you have a complete stand alone phone.

At the end of the day ill use anything i can get my hands on, but my preference lies with apple.

Are the Nokia E51 phones still good to get and will I get coverage with Telstra out in the country?

They're no good when you're crossing flooded rivers (in the country) and the water comes up to your camelback, I know that much.

Not a bad little phone, buttons a bit small for big muscular australian fingers.

Except for that 1500km black spot between Ceduna & Norseman with the exception of Eucla.

I own a Nokia 1110

I am tough on phones.
The last one has survived everything over the past 4 yrs
Even been dropped into murky water for a few minutes. Twice

I take it the newer phones don't like that. Hmmmm. Might have to invest in a plastic bag for rides.

There is an Australian based company that makes them as well, but I can't remember the name, the Aussie ones are cheaper, but not rated as deep
